What is the process of initiating trading in secondary market?
One must first have a broker account to trade in NEPSE. First step is to open a DMAT account and then subsequently a broker account to start your trading. Nepali Citizens, Minors as well as Companies can open their account to trade. KYC forms can be filled up directly at broker office or via online link. What services can I avail after opening the Trading/Demat Account?
We offer a wide range of services once the DMAT and Broker Account is opened. You will have login detail to MeroShare to view your DMAT statement online. Also, your Trading portal login will be shared on your registered email to trade in the market. What is the process of loading collateral in my account ?
Loading Collateral is super easy!! You can load collateral via the TMS portal from the load collateral section through ConnectIPS and Online banking. Alternatively, you can deposit the collateral into our bank account directly. Furthermore, your free shares in your DMAT account maintained at Sri Hari can also be used for collateral to buy shares. You can ask our accounts team to load collateral against free shares at Viber 9851219156 or 015970456.
What is settlement cycle in NEPSE?
In NEPSE (Nepal Stock Exchange), the settlement cycle is T+2. What T+2 means T (Trade Day): The day you buy or sell shares T+2: The second business day after the trade How it works If you buy shares: You must pay the money, and the shares are credited to your DEMAT account by T+2. If you sell shares: You must deliver the shares, and the money is credited to your bank account by T+2. Example Trade done on Monday → Settlement completed by Wednesday (assuming no holidays). This T+2 system applies to equity shares and other securities traded on NEPSE.
